This week I decided to write about North Korea. There is not a real reason for this topic, I just found myself running out of ideas and North Korea was one place that I was still curious about. For starters North Korea is a small country in east Asia that shares a border with china. Their capital city is Pyongyang which is also their largest city and is home to around three million people. Korea was originally one country that had been annexed into Japan in 1910. With the defeat of Japan in World War II Korea was divided into two zones, north and south; the north being occupied by the Soviet Union and the south by the United States of America. In 1950 war broke out between the two countries. Although a cease-fire was ordered in 1953 the two countries remain officially at war because a peace treaty was never signed.
The Current leader of North Korea is Kim Jong Un. Recently there was a movie made by sony about the assassination of Kim Jong Un. As result North Korea hacked Sony and stole computer files containing data on the movie and other Sony products such as the ps4. My view on this is that it was wrong for North Korea to hack Sony, but i wonder if it was their right considering Sony's upcoming movie is about the assassination of their leader. Fortunately Sony has released their movie and I look forward to watching it.
